By accessing and using BillerBear ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BillerBear provides online invoicing, client management, payment tracking, and related business services ("the Service"). The Service is accessible through our website and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

BillerBear offers free and paid subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Limited to 3 invoices per month
• Pro Plan: Unlimited invoices with premium features
• Billing is handled through Paddle, our payment processor
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Price changes will be communicated with 30 days notice

Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

5.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all new Pro Plan subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with BillerBear within the first 30 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund by contacting us at support@billerbear.com. Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method. This guarantee applies only to first-time subscribers and does not apply to subscription renewals.

5.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fees:

• Cancel directly from your account settings
• Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period
• Your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan after your billing period ends
• Your invoices and client data will be preserved
• You may reactivate your Pro subscription at any time

5.3 No Refunds for Partial Periods

After the 30-day guarantee period, we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will continue to have access until the end of your paid period, but no prorated refund will be issued for the unused time.

5.4 Payment Failures

If a subscription payment fails, we will attempt to process it again. If payment cannot be collected after multiple attempts, your subscription will be automatically downgraded to the Free Plan. You may reactivate your Pro subscription at any time by updating your payment method.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Engage in fraudulent activities
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BillerBear and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillerBear shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which BillerBear operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
